Jesse Perley (He/Him)
Director First Nations Affairs/Indigenous Relations | Directeur Affairs des Premières Nations Relations avec les Autochtones

As a member of the Wolastoqey Nation at Neqotkuk and a Business Administration graduate from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton in 2005 I am currently employed with New Brunswick Power since January 2011. I started my career as an Energy Advisor and my journey continued merging to the newly formed First Nations Affairs Indigenous Relations Department in mid-2011. In 2016 I took on a role in Project Management as a Project Coordinator with the Hydro sector of the corporation and now currently directing the First Nations Affairs Indigenous Relations Department since September 2021.

My key duties are supporting and facilitating First Nations engagement through projects, community relations, cultural awareness, education, and sensitivity programs. We provide awareness, education, and sensitivity programs for both First Nations communities and companies who plan to work in the First Nations’ territories. We guide, support and facilitate all of New Brunswick Power to assist with understanding of all safeguards in place to minimize impacts on mother earth and ensure sustainability for future generations.
